Newly developed Infant teething Gel

Thanks to our awesome community & patients, we are often presented with new formulating opportunities.

In the last month, a mum in desperate need of some sleep (due to a teething 1 year old) came to our pharmacists with an example of a South Australian product. A well known hospital in SA has developed a compound that is applied to the gums of infants during teething.

This product contains Lignocaine, to numb the pain and Chlorhexadine, for its antiseptic properties. Normally 1 to 2 drops are place directly (or by parents finger) onto the red, sore gums up to four times per day.

With all compounding medication, it should only be used for a short time and you should consult our pharmacists or your doctor for more information on the use of this type of product.

Give us a call on 1300731755 or email us, if you are interested in trying this product.
