A cream may be prescribed as it has a few advantages over other forms of drug delivery. A hormonal cream is to be applied to an unexposed area of the body (as it allows the best absorption). Before application, place a small amount on the inside of the arm and leave for about 5 minutes. If you find that there is no reaction (the skin is not red or irritated) then you may proceed with the application. Apply as directed by the doctor and discontinue use if there is a reaction to the cream (very rare).
ADVANTAGES:
Rapid onset of drug action
Controlled release of drug into body
Lower doses of the drug is required
Lower cost than troche
Easy to apply
Our creams are made with PCCA Versabase cream (unless otherwise requested). PCCA Versabase cream is Paraben free and Oil free moisturiser that has been proven to deliver hormones into the skin and bloodstream efficiently. Some people request Macadamia Nut Base but this cream containcs oils and parabens and has not been proven to deliver hormones as efficiently and therefore you do not receive the best results. Our creams are also dispensed in a EMP jar which is an accurate way of measuring your dose so you receive the exact dose the doctor requests. Watch our video below to see how our creams are made and how to use the Jar!
